Kayla Hori

Kayla Hori is originally from the Bay Area, California. She received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology-Sports Studies in the Fall of 2021. Kayla is finishing her thesis project for her Master’s at California State University, Northridge. This is her fourth semester in the Move-Learn Lab as a member. She continues to learn and assist in upcoming projects. Kayla is a physical therapy aide at the Physical Therapy West clinic and a graduate teaching associate at California State University of Northridge for Biomechanics Lab and Fitness for Life. In the future, Kayla hopes to pursue a career enriched with biomechanics research in the Deaf population. Kayla plans to apply to Kinesiology Ph.D programs. Outside of the lab, she enjoys traveling, eating plant-based foods, watching sports, and getting involved in the Deaf community. Kayla doesn’t let her Deafness stop her from thriving.
